From five digits to half a billion, I only have one moving average and half a pack of cigarettes.
When I first entered the circle, I decorated my screen like a Christmas tree: MACD, RSI, Bollinger Bands, Fibonacci, all flashing in colorful lights like a KTV.
What was the result? The more I studied, the more obsessed I became. I was afraid of missing out when the price rose, and I would shout 'the big players are unloading' when it fell. I could open eight trades in one night, and the transaction fees were higher than the profits.
After three months, my capital was halved, and my girlfriend blacklisted me, saying I was living my life with candlesticks.
Later, I got annoyed and deleted all the indicators, leaving only one MA20 and a sticky note with two sentences written on it:
1. Don't chase highs if there's no new high;
2. If the closing price breaks the moving average, just get lost.
I review the market for 20 minutes every day, mark the entry and exit points, shut down, and go downstairs for skewers.
At first, my hands were itchy like a cat's claws, so I handed my phone to the convenience store lady downstairs, asking her to give it back to me at 10 PM.
After a month of this, my account surprisingly turned from a floating loss to a floating profit. I finally understood: it turns out losing money was not about knowing too little, but thinking too much.
Last year, ASTER surged 90% in one day, and the community was all shouting 'explosive volume'. I glanced at the price, which was far from MA20, and continued to stay calm.
The next day, it plunged 30%. They were busy cutting losses, while I calmly picked up chips. A friend asked me why I wasn't excited?
I blew out a smoke ring and said: 'I only keep one indicator, and I throw emotions in the trash can.'
Now my account has rolled from five digits to over fifty million. I still follow the same strategy: one moving average, half a pack of cigarettes; complexity is left to others, simplicity is reserved for myself.
The market is always chaotic, human nature is always greedy, and those who can win are the ones who keep the rhythm on a single loop.
Those who can survive in the market and still make a profit are always the ones who dare to reach out first.
