A hypothesis was raised yesterday about institutional adoption of Ripple and that XRP will soar to 100 dollars. Honestly, I mulled it over in my head and thought I’d share what I’ve reached..... but let’s analyze it logically together and see if this dream could become reality or just another new Indian movie in the crypto world. Listen, my friend, the story of XRP and the 100 dollars is no joke, it requires banks and institutions to say "Hey Ripple, let’s throw SWIFT in the trash and go with you." Right now, the price is around 2 dollars, and the highest it reached was 3.84 in 2018, to reach 10 it needs a market cap of 500 billion, for 20 it would be a trillion, and for 100 it would be 5 trillion! This means there needs to be official adoption from global banks and institutions, like the Japanese SBI which is already a big partner, and banks in Asia and Europe that love speed and low costs, and remittance companies like MoneyGram and Santander that have tried #Ripple before. But in America, the issue is tied to the SEC, and although there's progress in 2025 when XRP was classified as not a security, there are still hesitant countries. Institutions might be attracted because transfers can happen in seconds instead of days, and costs can drop by 70%, and also Ripple's system integrates easily with banks. But it lacks huge liquidity (between 11–58 billion dollars) and expansion in actual use to make the talk serious and not just noise.
And if we compare, Bitcoin is digital gold and a store of value, Ethereum is the smart contracts platform and the backbone of #defi and NFTs, Solana is a fast network that attracted developers, while XRP specializes in cross-border transfers and is a direct competitor to SWIFT. So if institutions seriously adopt it, it could become the fourth pillar alongside the giants, but its role is different: it is not a store like Bitcoin nor a platform like Ethereum, it is a global payment network. So 10–25 dollars in 2025–2030 is very possible, but 100 dollars requires the whole world to tip its hat and say "Here you go, our dear Ripple," and then it would be a knight in the arena of giants.
