To all the old friends and new sprouts in the cryptocurrency circle, I am the 'old grilled sprout' who went from liquidation to recovery. After 3600 days, ten years of hard work, two houses, and an eight-figure fortune, I didn't rely on insider information, nor did I gamble on myths of hundredfold returns; I relied solely on a method that many people dismiss as 'too stupid'. Today, I’m sharing some valuable insights from the heart, suitable for ordinary people who don’t want to be liquidated and seek stable profits.

1. In a bull market, don't be a 'gambling god', be a 'sharpshooter'

When the market is hot, opportunities are everywhere, but more people lose due to 'greed'. My principle is: focus on the main trend and hold onto the major upward wave.

For example, in the bull market of 2021, I only bet on the Ethereum ecosystem and Layer 2 sector; I wasn’t envious of other hot topics no matter how popular they got;

In 2025, when the AI concept became extremely popular, I laid out leading coins in advance, took profits, and withdrew without being attached to the battle.

A bull market is not an ATM, but a 'cognitive monetization period'. You don't need to seize every opportunity, just bet on one or two sectors with strong certainty, and your returns can outperform 99% of frequent traders.

2. Four iron laws, each learned through losing money

① Trade new coins, not old ones

New coins have funding heat, while old coins have many trapped investors. But only choose projects with real applications and transparent teams, blacklist air coins directly.

② Contract leverage is 'licking blood from a knife edge'

I’ve seen too many experts die on altcoins + high leverage. If you must play, don’t exceed 5x leverage, and set a strict stop-loss line.

③ Altcoins: the engine of a bull market, the crusher of a bear market

Altcoins rise sharply in a bull market, but it’s common for them to drop 90% in a bear market. My strategy: clear out altcoins at the end of the bull market and switch back to mainstream coins to hedge.

④ When good news is fully priced in, it becomes bad news

Rush before news lands, and run after it lands. For example, layout Bitcoin before the ETF approval, and take profits in batches after it’s approved.

3. Managing money is more important than trading coins: diversify, stop losses, cash flow

• Diversification is the lifeline

I generally diversify into 3 sectors (such as public chains, storage, AI), with only 1-2 leading coins in each sector.

Total position should not exceed 70%, leave 30% cash for additional purchases.

• Don't get entangled in losses, don't be greedy with profits

If a single coin's floating loss exceeds 10%, you must cut it;

Take profits in batches when profits exceed 50%, leave some profit to seek higher returns.

• Invest spare money to survive the bear market

Invest monthly salary in Bitcoin/Ethereum, double down in a bear market. After ten years, the cost averages out, and the returns during a bull market are astonishing.

4. Rhythm > technical analysis: only by going against human nature can you make money

At the end of a bear market: when others panic, I build positions in batches;

Early in a bull market: boldly increase positions after confirming the trend;

During the crazy period of a bull market: when retail investors shout 'eternal bull', I quietly sell my holdings.

The market is always cyclical, and the ones who make money are always the few 'contrarian' ones. For example, during the bear market of 2023, I accumulated mainstream coins; when the bull market peaked in 2025, I gradually switched back to stablecoins.

Lastly, let’s talk about something heart-wrenching

There are only two types of people who make big money in the crypto world:

The other type is the genius who relies on technology and information asymmetry to stay ahead of the market;

One type is the 'fool' who executes simple rules like an old workhorse: only hoarding hard currency, investing at regular intervals, and strictly adhering to stop-loss and profit-taking rules.

If you don't consider yourself a genius, like me, use the simplest methods to control positions, hit the cycles accurately, and restrain your hands. Slow is fast, and clumsy is stable.
