The Ethereum blockchain has become too "heavy": the volume of data hinders the operation of nodes and threatens decentralization. 80% of the data has not been used for over a year!
What the developers propose:
✅ State Expiry: remove old inactive data.
✅ State Archive: separate data into "hot" and "cold."
✅ Statelessness: allow nodes to store only a part of the history.
