In this phase, we visited Xiangyin City in Shanxi Province and met Xiaoyu ——
A boy born in 2014, with a level 1 physical disability, suffering from cerebral palsy and accompanying intellectual disability, classified as severely disabled.
Currently, Xiaoyu's cognitive and comprehension abilities are only equivalent to that of a few-month-old infant.
He has no verbal expression ability, his hand muscle tone is weak, and he cannot grasp independently, with almost no self-care ability.
The child's father works away from home for many years and can only rely on a meager income to maintain the basic living of the family.
In this phase, the Fangya Community donated 1000 yuan to Xiaoyu's family,
and combined with the actual situation of the family, provided some intervention directions and rehabilitation advice to the family members, hoping to bring some tangible support and strength for the child's growth and for the long-term persistence of this family,
in the limited realistic conditions.
