Techub News reports, according to Cointelegraph, that the South Korean payment processor BC Card has completed a pilot project that allows foreign users to pay local merchants using stablecoins. This project was conducted in collaboration with blockchain company Wavebridge, wallet provider Aaron Group, and cross-border remittance provider Global Money Express. These companies enable foreign users to exchange the stablecoins stored in overseas wallets that partner with BC Card into digital prepaid cards. The company stated that this pilot is not a short-term project but part of the preparation for implementing a stablecoin payment system. The company also mentioned that this move is in response to changes in South Korea's stablecoin regulatory policies.
