According to Odaily, Barclays economists have indicated that the U.S. Federal Reserve is likely to interpret the unexpected acceleration in the third-quarter GDP as a sign of strong underlying demand. While volatile components like net exports may have exaggerated overall growth, the continued expansion of consumer spending demonstrates fundamental resilience. Economists noted that despite fluctuations in economic performance in the first half of 2025, total demand had gained significant momentum by the end of the year. Consequently, Barclays has slightly raised its forecast for the year-on-year GDP growth rate in the fourth quarter by approximately 0.3 percentage points, bringing it to 2.0%.
