Indian authorities have uncovered a fraudulent cryptocurrency investment network

According to PANews, the Indian Enforcement Directorate (ED) conducted searches at 21 residential and office premises in the states of Karnataka, Maharashtra, and New Delhi as part of a money laundering investigation. The operation revealed a network of fraudulent cryptocurrency investment platforms. Since 2015, the group has been using images of celebrities and fake trading websites, promising high returns, attracting investors from India and abroad. Funds were laundered through a cryptocurrency wallet, transfers between users, fictitious companies, and underground banking channels. Websites involved in the scheme include goldbooker.com and cryptobrite.com, prompting officials to issue warnings about investment risks.$BNB
