News Author: Crypto Emergency
Binance founder Changpeng Zhao (CZ), one of the key figures in the digital assets industry, commented on the launch of a new tokenized securities platform announced by the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE). According to him, this event will be a powerful driver for the crypto sector and cryptocurrency exchanges.
CZ emphasized: "This development is favorable for cryptocurrencies and cryptocurrency exchanges," noting that such initiatives accelerate the integration of traditional finance with blockchain infrastructure.
What the new NYSE platform represents
The announced NYSE system is being created not as an add-on to the existing exchange, but as a completely new infrastructure built on blockchain. It will offer:
• 24/7 trading without breaks,
• Instant settlements instead of the T+1 model,
• Use of stablecoins for financing transactions,
• Direct issuance of securities in the form of digital assets.
In fact, NYSE is launching a parallel ecosystem that will operate independently of the traditional exchange. While the classic venue remains tied to banking infrastructure and limited trading hours, the new platform will ensure continuous asset turnover and instant clearing.
How NYSE differs from other players in the tokenization market
Most major financial companies focus on tokenizing existing assets:
DTCC — transfers securities held in custody into tokens,
State Street — is working on tokenized money market funds and ETFs, Nasdaq — is developing rules for conducting tokenized transactions alongside traditional systems.
NYSE takes a step further: it plans not only to issue shares on the blockchain but also to create its own next-generation trading platform. This approach puts it in direct competition with projects like Figure (OPEN platform) and Superstate.
Why this is important for the future of finance
Tokenized shares pave the way for a new financial model where:
• Consensus is formed on the blockchain,
• Asset storage occurs in wallets, not in DTCC,
• Trading does not stop for a minute,
• Capital is created through stablecoins, not through bank settlements.
This is why CZ and other industry leaders consider the launch of the NYSE platform an important step towards the mass adoption of digital assets and strengthening the position of the cryptocurrency market.
