Brothers at the square, BTC has been 'playing hide and seek' with us at the $90,000 mark for almost a month now.

Take a look at the current market:

Up: The area around $91,600 - $93,500 has become a dense 'selling pressure zone', and every time it shows a hint, it gets hammered down.

Down: The support at $86,000 - $88,000 is indeed strong, and as soon as it drops, institutions will immediately pick it up.

This kind of 'grinding' market actually hides three key signals:

1️⃣ Institutions are 'reshuffling' and restructuring.

As we enter January 2026, although there are occasional outflows from the spot ETF, more is about position restructuring. Gold recently broke through $5,000, with many risk-averse funds jumping back and forth between precious metals and digital gold. Large holders are not in a hurry to push up prices, waiting for retail investors to give up their bloodied chips.

2️⃣ The macro 'shoe' has not yet dropped.

Tonight's Federal Reserve meeting is crucial. The market currently expects interest rates to remain at 3.50% - 3.75%. As long as Powell doesn't release 'super hawkish' comments, this consolidation is just for the final buildup to break through $100,000.

3️⃣ Indicators have begun to flatten.

The daily RSI has already fallen back to the central area around 50. This means that the previous overbought pressure has mostly been relieved. Historically, BTC's consolidation at such key integer levels usually lasts for 4-6 weeks, so considering the time, the turning point will be within the next 10 days!

💬 Personally, I think:

Don't let the consolidation extinguish your will! As long as it doesn't effectively break below $85,000, the bullish trend remains intact. In such times, observing more and acting less is the way to go. Frequent trading will only lead to being slapped by the market.
