🏦 Fed held rates… cool. Now here’s what actually matters
Fed kept rates the same. Not shocking.
The headline isn’t the trade — the tone is.
This kind of decision is basically: “We’re not panicking. We’re watching inflation + jobs. Don’t front-run cuts.”
What that usually means for us:
• Whipsaw first, direction later. Market loves doing the fake move both ways, then picking a real trend once positioning settles.
• Volatility gets weird. You’ll see random spikes that have nothing to do with “trend” and everything to do with liquidity.
• Plan > prediction: I’m trading key levels (session high/low, prior day levels) and waiting for a clean reclaim/reject before I size up.
If you got chopped today, it’s normal. Fed days punish anyone who thinks they need to “be early.”
