It is normal to request this data, what is not normal is to ask for photos of your ID card or passport, and I have encountered merchants who want to do this, even when being verified.
First time this has happened to me.. I do not agree no matter how good % I have.. THIS WILL NOT HAPPEN TO ME AGAIN
