Common P2P Scam Methods in Pakistan

1. Fake Proof of Payment

Scammers send you an edited screenshot that looks like the payment was made. In reality, it’s either pending or never happened. This is common on Binance P2P and Facebook groups.

2. Stolen Bank / Wallet Accounts

They transfer money from a hacked account. Later, when the real owner complains, your bank or wallet gets frozen during investigation.

3. Reversal Scam

After sending payment, the scammer files a false complaint with the bank or wallet and reverses the funds. Reported often with Meezan, HBL, Easypaisa, and JazzCash.

4. Underpaid Transfer

The deal is for 100,000 PKR, but they only send 99,000. Then they ask you to adjust the rest in cash. According to P2P rules, never release until the full amount is received.

5. Third-Party Payment Fraud

A scammer has someone else transfer money into your account. Later that person files an FIR, and your account gets flagged for money laundering.
