AI will be widely used in on-chain trading in the future, whether it's tokens, stocks, or other fields, as long as the AI algorithms are strong enough, it can generate a lot of money. Moreover, there will be many types of algorithms because trading itself has scale; there are 300 million users on Binance alone. In the decentralized ecosystem, the scale is roughly similar, with various coins, multiple projects, and countless strategies. However, there are also some issues; it will be very difficult to create a commercialized AI trading platform for retail investors because if a certain strategy is very effective for one person, once a million people use it, that strategy may become ineffective. There are indeed some advantages; if everyone uses the same strategy, you buy first, and later people follow, the first buyer will earn a lot, while the last buyer might not earn anything. Therefore, even if it’s the same replicable strategy, the returns executed by different people can be completely different. Thus, it is challenging to create an AI trading algorithm platform for the public. A team that can develop a powerful AI will directly trade with their own money, as capital itself is a commodity; many people have a lot of money, and raising funds is not difficult. So if your algorithm can indeed make stable profits, it’s quite easy for you to obtain trading capital. The only reason you would sell this algorithm for others to use is if, for example, you sell it for $10 a month to 1 million users, you would earn $10 million a month, which is higher than the profit from trading yourself. Only in such a case would you choose to sell this algorithm. Otherwise, from an economic perspective, you would choose the method that gives you a higher return. Therefore, this is inherently a contradictory business logic, but that doesn’t mean it will never work. Allowing users to adjust and fine-tune different AI algorithms, or making it easy for them to build their own strategies and algorithm structures, will give everyone a different strategy that suits them. It’s also important to consider that it’s challenging for retail investors to build AI themselves, as there are many different factors to consider, and it’s not necessarily true that AI will make trading better; that is a simplistic understanding. Regardless, in the future, there will definitely be a large number of people using AI for trading, which is certain, making this a huge market. Whoever can produce the best algorithm will make the most money.
