American citizens whose families were affected by the Hamas attack in Israel on 7 October 2023 have filed a civil lawsuit against Changpeng Zhao, according to the Financial Times.
The suit claims CZ allegedly enabled transfers worth millions of dollars to the group through Binance’s infrastructure during his tenure.

He said he is already grateful for the pardon, but if a refund ever happened, he would invest the money in the U.S. as a “gesture of appreciation.”
