Hey there! I can see why you'd be excited about this. The news is largely accurate! On December 12, 2025, Pakistan granted a No-Objection Certificate (NOC) to Binance, which is the first step for them to apply for a full license. It's a very exciting development! Hope this helps.
Great News for Pakistanis! Pakistan has issued a No-Objection Certificate (NOC) to Binance and HTX.
Pakistanis will now be able to buy crypto directly in Pakistani Rupees (PKR) using JazzCash, EasyPaisa, and bank transfers. There will be no need for a middleman (P2P trader) or high fees.
Until now, if money from crypto was transferred to a bank account, the account would often be frozen or the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) would issue a notice. Now that major exchanges like Binance and HTX have received the NOC, this risk will be virtually eliminated.
Selling crypto and receiving Rupees directly into a Pakistani bank account will be possible without any fear. Up until now, many people incurred an 8-12% loss on P2P trading.
Furthermore, dollars earned on Upwork and Fiverr can be brought in as crypto and directly converted into Rupees in Pakistan. This will save the 3-5% fee charged by Payoneer, and the money will be in the account within 5-10 minutes.
Now, even the common person will be able to easily invest in Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, etc. The potential for returns is higher than in the stock market.
If relatives send crypto from abroad, it will reach Pakistan with a 1-2% fee (compared to Western Union's 8-12%).
Crypto companies, trading platforms, and blockchain startups will come to Pakistan. Thousands of new jobs will be created (developers, support, compliance, etc.).
When people buy crypto from abroad, dollars will flow into Pakistan, improving foreign exchange reserves.
