A student startup in Melbourne uses AI tools to help families address food waste issues
A class at Haileybury Berwick College in Melbourne came together to create a new entrepreneurial concept aimed at reducing food waste in Australian households using the AI-driven development platform caffeine.ai.
The team's idea is a virtual food pantry application designed to help users track shopping lists, avoid duplicate purchases or missing ingredients. "Australian households generate 2.5 million tons of food waste each year, and we know our product can solve a real and important problem," said student Jovia. This application has a simple interface, allowing users to easily record purchased items, check existing inventory, and receive reminders or suggestions before food spoils.
