At the beginning of 2025, YGG launched the 'Metaverse Filipino Worker' initiative, released the (Game Perspective) report, and made significant upgrades to the Guild Advancement Program (GAP).
At the beginning of the year, YGG core team members made appearances at several major global events, including the ACTAI Asia Pacific Summit, NVIDIA GTC, and the 2025 Game Developers Conference (GDC). Among these, YGG was particularly active during GDC—co-hosting the Web3@GDC side event and launching its first game (LOL Land).

After hosting a global offline strategy meeting and team-building activity in Sonoma County, YGG co-hosted Web3@GDC with thirdweb, kicking off the 2025 GDC. The event gathered leaders from the gaming ecosystem, venture capital, and game studios to engage in candid discussions about 'How Web3 Moves Forward Amid Industry Criticism.'
The highlight of the day was a fireside chat between YGG co-founder Gabby Dizon and Limit Break founder Gabe Leydon. Leydon pointed out that the current Web3 model is dominated by centralized exchanges and traders, proposing the concept of 'Apptokens' as a programmable solution that allows developers to manage game economies more autonomously, control token liquidity, and implement creator royalty mechanisms.
YGG also participated in several top AI events in California, exploring paths for AI to create new economic opportunities for the community. Co-founders Beryl Li and Trish Rosal, along with core team members, attended the world’s premier AI event NVIDIA GTC for the first time and represented YGG at the Ethereum SF conference and Stanford Blockchain AI Summit.
During GDC, YGG officially launched its first game (LOL Land) at WolvesDAO's WolvesDEN Alpha Night. As of April 2025, over 50,000 players have pre-registered, looking forward to experiencing YGG's debut work.
A new upgrade for the core YGG ecosystem.

With the conclusion of the 8th season of GAP, the pilot phase of on-chain guilds has also successfully ended—the first batch of on-chain guilds has officially joined the YGG ecosystem. During the nearly 8-week season, 75 communities registered as on-chain guilds, with 49 participating and completing at least one guild task.
The 8th season of GAP will launch on November 15, 2024, and conclude on January 8, 2025, once again receiving enthusiastic responses from the YGG community. Data confirms its activity: 21,452 task participants signed up to challenge the latest tasks, with 95% completing and submitting at least one task.
In the 9th season of GAP, YGG continues to optimize the reward distribution mechanism: a new 'Reward Map' has been launched, offering more YGG and RON token rewards, and airdrops for all participants from the 8th season. The 'Stake House' remains popular in the new season, with YGG increasing the maximum staking reward multiplier to 5 times, allowing large stakers to earn up to 5 times YGG points during the season.
(Game Perspective) Report Released

The (Game Perspective) report is now available for download, providing an in-depth breakdown of the discussions and debates from the YGG game summit 'Leaders Roundtable.'
On November 21-22, 2024, during the YGG Game Summit held in Manila, Philippines, the communications agency Emfarsis planned and moderated the 'Leaders Roundtable,' analyzing trends around two core topics of Web3 gaming—the strategies for key opinion leaders (KOLs) and acquiring Web3 native users.
Attendees included representatives from Animoca Brands, The Sandbox, CCP Games, Infinity Ventures Crypto (IVC), Sky Mavis, HyperPlay, and YGG, covering a diverse range of roles such as entrepreneurs, game developers, content creators, guild leaders, journalists, esports professionals, and investors, ensuring broad representation of the Web3 gaming ecosystem.
In Q1 2025, following the summit discussions, YGG officially released a comprehensive report aimed at presenting the diverse voices from the Leaders Roundtable, capturing candid insights from discussions and pointed questions from industry leaders.
Ushering in the era of 'Metaverse Filipino Workers.'

In early Q1 2025, YGG Philippines (YGG Pilipinas) released a short film titled (Metaverse Filipino Workers) (MFW) on YouTube. As a sequel to the hit 2021 documentary (Play-to-Earn: The Philippines NFT Games), the film tells the real stories of Filipinos building digital careers in an open metaverse, surpassing one million views within two weeks of release.
The term 'Metaverse Filipino Workers (MFW)' plays on 'Overseas Filipino Workers (OFW)', referring to Filipinos seeking higher income opportunities in the metaverse. This trend has allowed thousands of Filipinos to achieve flexible home-based employment for the first time, earning globally competitive incomes—whereas in the past, they had to leave home and sacrifice time with family.
To spread the concept of MFW across the Philippines, YGG Philippines announced the launch of the 'MFW Caravan' program. This tour will visit multiple cities in the Philippines, partnering with YGG Philippines' 'Metaversity' project to help more people understand how to embark on career paths in Web3.
