Tonight, a platform named GachaDrop, which targets Pokémon card platforms on Solana like Cards, launched and issued tokens. Due to the website being able to run card draws and card purchases, it was once regarded by the community as a legitimate project.
One hour after the launch of its token DROP, with 1700 participants, the project announced that there were issues with the token contract and decided to issue a new coin.
This caused the old DROP coin to plummet from a market value of 3 million USD to 0 in an instant. The new DROP token also shot up momentarily before returning to 0.
On-chain data shows that only a few meme real-life bloggers and scientists who bought in at the opening made a profit.
