According to Deep Tide TechFlow, on October 28, the UDR party led by Éric Jotty proposed a bill in the French parliament to support cryptocurrencies. The bill plans to hold 2% of the total Bitcoin supply over a period of 7-8 years.
The bill also proposes to encourage the development of euro stablecoins, suggesting a tax-free daily payment limit of 200 euros, and opposes the EU digital euro plan. It supports industry participants, adjusts mining electricity tax, and promotes institutional investment.
Analysis indicates that although the bill shows support for the crypto ecosystem, the likelihood of passing is extremely low since the UDR party holds only 16 out of 577 seats in parliament.
