The Malaysian authorities 🇲🇾 have launched a massive campaign against around 14,000 illegal Bitcoin mining machines that have consumed electricity worth $1.1 billion since 2020.
Note: These miners were not using subsidized electricity; instead, they were bypassing the meters or connecting their equipment directly to the power grid without any formal contracts.
