⏺Sex speeds up wound healing — the study showed that intimacy boosts body regeneration by 2 times.

For the experiment, scientists made minor cuts on the forearms of 80 young volunteers and divided the participants into 4 groups. All participants were in pairs.

• The first group was given a nasal spray with oxytocin and asked to perform a "partner appreciation task" (PAT) — brief discussions during which partners thank each other and give each other compliments.

• The second group received oxytocin and conducted a general 10-minute session of gratitude.

• The third group received a placebo nasal spray + PAT task.

• The fourth group received a placebo.

Outcome: in pairs where there was oxytocin + a lot of sexual activity and affectionate touches, wounds healed better over the course of 2 weeks.
