🔸 President Trump announced a $12 billion aid package for farmers affected by the trade war. China has cut back on purchases of American soybeans for months and has not returned to normal levels, although purchases have resumed.
🔸 About $11 billion will be paid directly to growers in the form of “transitional assistance” funded by tariff revenue.
🔸 The White House said the aid package will help farmers survive while the Trump administration’s new economic and trade policies take effect.
🔸 In 2025, through August, tariff revenue has reached about $149 billion. Some reports predict that if the trend continues, total tax revenue for the year could reach $300 billion.
