3 Preferred Analysis Tools

Moving Averages (MA): Observe how they behave. In a sideways market, moving averages frequently cross and flatten out, signalling the absence of a trend. Do not rely on their crossovers for entry/exit signals.

Oscillators: These become much more relevant.

RSI (Relative Strength Index): Use this to identify overbought conditions (sell near resistance) and oversold conditions (buy near support).

Stochastic or CCI: Same principle, they help confirm that the price is at one end of the range.

Volumes: Low volumes confirm indecision. High volumes during a breakout may indicate a potential exit from the range (but always be cautious).
