Liquidation happened 3 times before I realized
In the crypto world, losers fall for the word 'greed', four iron rules cement profits
At two in the morning, my phone popped up with a notification 'Account has been forcibly liquidated', and I stared at the ceiling with my mind full of 'just hold on for one more minute'—but unfortunately, the market never gives a retake opportunity!
This is not the first time I've been liquidated, but it's the last time; I finally understand: frequent liquidations are not due to poor skills, but entirely due to greed!
In the past, I was purely a 'retail investor': I would go all in when prices rose, fearing to miss out on the opportunity to get rich; when prices fell, I borrowed money to buy the dip, fantasizing about a V-shaped reversal!
The result was either standing guard at a high position or getting washed out at a low point; my account was like a roller coaster, and the bottom line was just one word: anxious!
Anxious to recover losses, double profits, and make a comeback, throwing all trading discipline out the window!
After reflecting on my pain, I cemented four iron rules on my trading interface:
Never go all in! The maximum position size is 20%-30%, leave room even if you're confident; light positions keep your mindset stable, and you have bullets to counterattack when the main force washes the market; take profits at 3%-5%!
Don’t complain about small profits; compounding over a year becomes a big snowball; take profits early, first withdraw the principal + half of the profits, the rest is 'pure earnings'; stop-losses shouldn't be a dilemma! -4% automatically cut losses, don't fall in love with the market, lose small amounts to protect the whole position, better to take a small loss than suffer a heavy blow from liquidation; don't chase others' bottoms
Wait for a volume breakthrough before entering the market; certainty is far more important than cheapness, the real bottom is built by funds, not drawn by 'feelings'
By cutting out 'greed', I finally captured the complete wave! Last November, when $ETH retraced, I opened a 25% position as per rules, added positions in batches after breakthroughs, took profits every 8% increase, and had a total return of 48% in a month, finally sleeping soundly for the first time
The market doesn't perform inspirational dramas; it only recognizes capital and discipline! Don’t ask 'why does it drop every time I buy'; first self-check: is the position overweight? Is the stop-loss set? Have profits been taken? If all answers are yes, then the decline is an operational issue, not a market issue
Finally, here are three pieces of advice:
① Live long enough to see a bull market; ② Don’t be greedy, don’t gamble, don’t stubbornly hold on; profits will grow on their own; ③ Discipline is the strongest moat for ordinary people! Change 'just wait one more minute' to 'cut losses at the right time', only then can you truly make money
Those who can survive in the market and still make profits are always the ones who dare to reach out first and understand how to restrain greed; are you ready? @阿二说币
