The magazine surprised again: instead of one hero — an entire team of people who are literally rewriting the future.

The cover is absolutely fire 🔥

This is a reference to the iconic photograph of construction workers on skyscrapers in New York City in the 1930s. But now, instead of workers, the beam is occupied by tech billionaires who are "building" a new world of AI.

TIME explained its choice this way:

2025 has become the year when the potential of artificial intelligence burst into life so powerfully that there is no turning back.

And this is indeed true — AI inspires and frightens at the same time 😅🤯

We are already accustomed to the victories of neural networks over champions in chess, to the prediction of protein structures, and to the fact that they sometimes fantasize more than necessary 🙃 But the scale of influence is growing faster...

It is not the first time the magazine highlights an entire phenomenon:
