Only 700 kilometers from Tokyo! 2 H-6K bombers and 8 J-16 fighters appeared, and once fired, the consequences are predictable!

On December 9, the Japanese Ministry of Defense released a set of aerial surveillance images: China and Russia jointly carried out their tenth strategic cruise mission.

This operation ventured into the airspace near Japan's Shikoku Island for the first time, only about 700 kilometers in a straight line from Tokyo. According to the identification information released by Japan, a total of 15 military aircraft were dispatched for this cruise, including 2 Tu-95 strategic bombers, 2 H-6K bombers, 8 J-16 fighters, 2 Su-30s, and 1 A-50 early warning aircraft.

The H-6K is capable of carrying the Long Sword-20 cruise missile, with a range exceeding 1500 kilometers; while the 8 J-16s are tasked with escort, electronic suppression, and even anti-surface strike missions, with a combat radius exceeding 1200 kilometers, capable of accompanying bombers throughout their mission.

This complete system of "bombing + air superiority + support" indicates that the formation is capable of independently executing high-intensity long-range strike missions.

Calculating with the long-range cruise missiles carried by the H-6K, launching from 700 kilometers away, it can cover key U.S. military bases in Japan, including Yokota and Yokosuka, as well as critical infrastructure in the Tokyo metropolitan area within 10 minutes. Once fired, the consequences are predictable.

It is worth noting that this cruise is highly synchronized with the movements of the Liaoning aircraft carrier battle group. Although it has not been explicitly confirmed whether the two are conducting joint exercises, from the time and space dimensions, the aerial formation appeared near Shikoku while the Liaoning was in the southeastern waters of the Ryukyu Islands, forming a "two-front assault" situation.

In fact, this conveys a clear message to Japan: China is now capable of organizing multidimensional power projection in the Western Pacific Ocean far from its homeland.
