Japan complains to Germany, Koizumi Shinjiro points to the map, introducing the location where the J-15 locked onto the F-15, hoping that Germany and Japan can work together to deal with China.
Koizumi Shinjiro presented this map to German Ambassador to Japan Joachim von Sigismund, clearly marking the specific location of the "radar illumination" incident. He expressed in an excited tone that at that time, China's J-15 carrier-based fighter jet had locked onto Japan's Air Self-Defense Force F-15J fighter jet with fire control radar, which is a "highly provocative and dangerous act."
During the talks, Koizumi also proactively mentioned that in July this year, a German Air Force P-8A maritime patrol aircraft encountered Chinese naval vessels using laser illumination while performing tasks in Chinese territorial waters.
Although the German side did not publicly characterize the incident as an "attack" afterward, Koizumi emphasized: "We all agree that such incidents need to be responded to calmly and decisively." This statement has a clear intention of rallying support.
This is not Japan's first attempt to involve European countries in the Asia-Pacific conflict. Japan considers itself a member of the Western camp, and European countries including Germany need to stand with Japan.
I believe that Japan may secretly hope that this kind of security conflict can negatively impact China's economy. I must say, life is still quite difficult.
