Due to mass power outages, Ukrainians have found an unexpected solution - within days, pet stores sold out of all hamsters.
The tiny rodents have become true heroes of the energy front: their cages are now equipped with mini-generators, and smartphones are charging thanks to the endless running of these fluffy “Energizers.”
“My hamster runs all night, and now I can watch the news without interruptions,” jokes one customer.
Experts predict that demand for hamsters will continue to grow, and the new slogan - “A hamster is your personal generator” - might become the trend of the winter.
