ME News Message, December 17 (UTC+8), Solana has partnered with the quantum computing research company Project Eleven, which will conduct a comprehensive quantum resistance assessment of Solana and create quantum-resistant digital signatures on the Solana testnet. Project Eleven has studied the risks to Solana's core infrastructure, including wallets, validators, and other cryptographic protections. The testnet will also examine the feasibility of implementing end-to-end quantum-resistant transactions on Solana. Solana Foundation's Vice President of Technology, Matt Sorg, stated, “Our responsibility is to ensure that Solana is not only secure today but remains secure for decades to come.” Although quantum threats are currently only theoretical and the blockchain may face real threats in over a decade, quantum research is continuously expanding. Nevertheless, Project Eleven has begun evaluating migration paths, standards, and adoption. (Source: ME)
