Lightning Network capacity has reached a new record, climbing to 5,606 BTC, according to Amboss data. The peak briefly touched 5,637 BTC, representing roughly $490 million in value.

Despite the increase in capacity, the number of Lightning nodes and channels remains below the highs seen in 2022, indicating that more Bitcoin is being added to existing infrastructure rather than through broad network expansion.
