CME key data center suspended for over 10 hours due to overheating
According to BlockBeats, on November 29, local time, from the evening of November 27 to the morning of the 28th, the key data center of the Chicago Mercantile Exchange Group was suspended for over 10 hours due to overheating. The data center is located in Aurora, a suburb west of Chicago, where a failure in the air conditioning equipment caused the temperature to rise to nearly 49 degrees Celsius, exceeding the industry's maximum regulated temperature of about 48%. It is currently unclear why the CME did not activate the backup data center in the New York area. Insiders speculate that it may be due to insufficient technical infrastructure of large traders at the backup data center.
