Litecoin (LTC) has not been able to escape the shadow of a prolonged downward trend since 2021. The bearish trend in price has led many individual investors to turn away from this 'legacy' altcoin.
However, according to a recent report, positive signals have been quietly increasing. These signals serve as the basis for analysts predicting that the price may soon surpass $100.
Institutions quietly accumulated 3.7 million LTC despite price declines.
This year, companies and institutions have expanded their holdings of digital assets and launched cryptocurrency ETFs, leading Litecoin to join this trend.
According to Litecoin Register data, by the end of 2025, the Litecoins held by government bonds and ETFs reached about 3.7 million. The total value exceeded $296 million.
“Currently, 10 listed companies and investment funds hold more than 3.7 million Litecoins. This is a figure that has increased by 1 million LTC since August 2025.” – Litecoin Foundation
The chart shows that there has been continuous accumulation over the past year. Despite Litecoin not recording a new high in 2025, this trend has continued.
Notable holders include Grayscale, Litecoin Strategy, and Luxfolio Holdings. Luxfolio Holdings aims to gather 1 million LTC by 2026.
Additionally, LitVM's “Silver Standard” report emphasizes that Litecoin has the highest uptime among existing legacy networks. It has maintained 100% uptime over the past 12 years.
Uptime refers to the time the network has continuously operated without interruption. A blockchain with high uptime demonstrates systems stability, security, and reliability capable of processing transactions without technical failures.
“Institutions want sound money. They want the 12-year reliability of Litecoin.” – Investor Creed
Fundamental indicators do not always have an immediate impact in the short term. However, the short-term outlook in the derivatives market appears very positive.
Top traders at Binance quickly increased their long positions in Litecoin in the second week of December. Their actions show strong bullish expectations.
The reasons why several long-term investors still trust Litecoin can also be explained by these factors. Cryptocurrency investor Lucky, who has been active since 2015, believes that Litecoin will soon recover.
“I don't think Litecoin $LTC will stay below $100 for long.” – Lucky
The current situation of Litecoin is similar to several altcoins such as XRP, XLM, LINK, and INJ, which have solid fundamental indicators but slow price movements.
Experts also claim that only altcoins supported by liquidity in new market phases such as DAT and ETFs can continue to grow and survive.
