Ascolta, ogni settimana c'è un altro progetto che urla "AI decentralizzata" come se avessero appena scoperto l'elettricità. Metà di essi sono fondamentalmente un server Discord avvolto attorno a un grafico di token. OpenLedger sembra almeno capire il vero problema. Che è il denaro. Sempre denaro.
Ecco il punto. Le aziende di AI stanno accumulando dati, modelli e potenza di calcolo come procioni che difendono i bidoni della spazzatura. Nel frattempo, le persone che producono cose utili — dataset, modelli di nicchia, agenti di automazione strani che fanno una cosa davvero bene — ricevono briciole. Magari una fattura API se sono fortunati.
Quindi OpenLedger entra in gioco e dice: e se tutte queste cose potessero essere effettivamente possedute, scambiate, affittate, monetizzate senza dover elemosinare il permesso a qualche gigante del cloud? Suona bene sulla carta. Tutto suona bene sulla carta. Ho assistito a abbastanza dimostrazioni di startup per saperlo.
Ma l'idea è piuttosto semplice sotto le parole d'effetto. Metti gli asset AI sulla blockchain. Dati. Modelli. Agenti. Lascia che le persone li forniscano, traccino l'uso e vengano pagate automaticamente. Una sorta di trasformare l'infrastruttura AI in un marketplace anziché in un club privato gestito da cinque aziende in California che indossano gilet coordinati.
E onestamente? L'angolo della liquidità è la parte interessante. La maggior parte delle cose AI oggi è stranamente illiquida. Qualcuno costruisce un modello utile, magari addestrato su scansioni mediche o riprese di telecamere di magazzino o qualunque incubo di dataset che hanno passato sei mesi a pulire alle 2 del mattino, e poi rimane lì. Difficile da licenziare. Difficile da valutare. Difficile da condividere in sicurezza. OpenLedger sta praticamente cercando di rendere queste cose commerciabili.
So cosa stai pensando. "Figo. Quindi un altro token incollato su un database." Giusto. Questa critica esiste per una ragione. La crypto ha una lunga storia di prendere software normali, aggiungere monete e poi comportarsi come se avessero inventato il fuoco.
Eppure. C'è un vero problema qui. L'AI in questo momento sta diventando rapidamente centralizzata. Come spaventosamente veloce. Potenza di calcolo controllata da pochi giganti. Dati nascosti. Modelli celati dietro API che possono scomparire da un giorno all'altro perché qualche dirigente
